I recently stopped by the Filoli Estate and Gardens in Woodside, California. They were having a flower show, and my friends and I figured it would be a good time to check out the area. Aside from the burning sun, (seriously guys, do not forget SPF), the gardens were quite beautiful, and my friends and I had a lot of fun admiring the flowers!
Since it was a flower show in the height of spring, I decided to wear florals (groundbreaking, right?) I paired a high waisted floral skirt with an off-the-shoulder white crop top. I put a girly flower crown on top of my head, just to be a little extra.
Does anyone know how to get off-the-shoulder tops to STAY off-the-shoulder? I found that I had to constantly adjust mine because it kept creeping upwards.
Surprisingly, the greenhouse was cooler than the outdoors. It granted us a brief reprieve from the scorching sun.
There was a super cool bonsai exhibit, and we learned a lot about how to keep these trees “mini.” It has to do with diligently trimming the roots and requires a LOT of upkeep!
The estate had a ton of these old iron-wrought gates and arches. It was a lot like a castle! Also, check out my intense look of concentration as I adjusted my flower crown.
We ended the day with some fresh rainier cherries from one of those street vendors.
